18k Gold Vermeil

Our demi-fine gold jewelry is crafted in 18k gold vermeil (pronounced "ver-may") - this means it is:

1. Made with high-quality 925 sterling silver as the base metal;

2. Electroplated with a layer of 18k gold

3. Thickness of 5 microns  (at least 5 to 10 times thicker than regular "gold-plated" jewelry and 100 times thicker than "flash-plated" jewelry);

4. Finished with a layer of protective coating

It means:

-Long-lasting subtle shine

-Resistant to tarnish & scratch

-Hypoallergenic, suitable for individuals with sensitive skin or allergies

-Premium and versatile, but much affordable

S925 Platinum Vermeil

Our demi-fine platinum pieces are made with sterling silver (also known as S925) plated with a thick layer of platinum (at least 5 times thicker than regular plated jewelry in the industry) and finished with a layer of protective coating.

Sterling silver is an alloy composed of 92.5% silver and 7.5% other metals. With its high silver content, sterling silver is a precious metal that holds value. As pure silver alone is delicate and prone to bending or breaking, the addition of other metals strengthens it, making it perfect for creating durable jewelry.

Platinum is the whitest precious metal and is highly resistant to tarnish and corrosion. By plating sterling silver with platinum, our jewelry receives additional protection against tarnish and scratches. The platinum plating also enhances shine and reflectivity due to its extreme reflectiveness.
